Welcome to Hapton School

About Us

Fifteen years of teaching children in Kozhikode to think clearly, act kindly, and aim high.

Our story

A school built around the child

Hapton School opened in 2011 with 84 students and a simple idea: a school should know every child by name. Fifteen years later we teach over 750 students from Class I to Class XII, and that idea has not changed.

Our classrooms are deliberately small. Teachers stay with a cohort long enough to know how each student learns, where they struggle, and what they are quietly good at. Academic results follow from that attention rather than from pressure.

We are a co-educational, English-medium school affiliated to the state board, and we welcome families from every background in and around Kozhikode.

Our vision

To be a school where academic strength and personal character are built together, so that students leave us prepared for the world and confident enough to improve it.

Our mission

To give every student small classes, teachers who know them well, and a curriculum that balances examinations with sport, art, and service to the community.

What we value

Respect

We treat every student, parent, and colleague with dignity and fairness.

Curiosity

Questions are welcome. We teach children how to think, not what to think.

Integrity

Honesty in the classroom becomes honesty in life.

Responsibility

Students learn to care for their community and their environment.

Principal’s message

“Every child arrives with something worth developing”

Parents often ask what makes a school good. My answer has not changed in fifteen years: it is whether a child is noticed. A student who is noticed is a student who is helped early — before a weak topic becomes a weak subject, before a quiet week becomes a hard term.

That is the standard we hold ourselves to at Hapton. Our results matter to us, but they are a by-product. What we are really trying to build is a young person who is curious, honest, and able to stand on their own.

You are welcome to visit us on any working day and see the school for yourself.
